The Color Purple

I watched the movie called "The Color Purple" today.

There was a scene where the girls were walking through fields of pretty purple flowers, and Shug Avery says to Celie, "it pisses God off if you walk by the color purple in a field somewhere and don’t notice it.” Hence, the picture for today. :)

It stars Whoopie Goldberg, Danny Glover and a few other pretty big names.

The book of the same title was chosen as part of our curriculum for our Introduction to Literature course.

Honestly, it is quite a disturbing book. I'm not used to reading about 14 year old girls being raped again and again and nobody seems to give a damn.  I even had strange nightmares after reading the book.

However, I did like the ending though. It was nice to see that most of the characters had a happy ending. But the part where the overgrown son says "Mama" when they were reunited was hilarious. LOLOLOL!

And throughout the movie, I kept wondering why Sofia looked so familiar...

I could solve a rubix cube when I was 5. 15 years later, I realised I've forgotten how to.

I attempted to study at Starbucks today.
Didn't exactly work.
I have so many things on my mind. I want answers to my own questions.

I have a new addiction.

Tea!!!

I drank four cups of tea today!! Whee!!!

There was mango, lemon and mandarin, lemon and ginger (I like this one!) and green tea :)

And I blame this newfound addiction on my mummy!!

Hehe. She told me to drink tea because I had food poisoning and couldn't keep any food down without throwing it all up moments later.

So I was forced into a diet comprising of bread (as you can see the gardenia corn bun in the pic) and tea for 2 days.

Lol. I am a Happy Tea Friend :)

My first set of complete dentures are finally done! It seems like it was ages ago when we started work on it. And I super love the final product! Tak boleh tahan, my denture terlalu cantik larrr!! hehehehe

Life Savers!

Today we finally learned how to do a rubber dam isolation!

After that scary incident of my bur flying off my handpiece straight into the simulater's throat, I'm pretty sure I learned my lesson and will always, ALWAYS use rubber dams.

Today marks the first day that I actually read through my notes after the last exam. 4 sets of pharmacology down. Only 3 weeks since we've begun Module 3 and already the notes are reaching 2 inches in thickness.*sigh* The never ending battle continues........

Of New Beginnings.

Has anyone heard of Project 365?

Lately, I've been coming across many bloggers that have started this project on their personal blogs. Well, if you don't already know what Project 365 is, let me enlighten you a little :)

Project 365 is a project that encourages people to take at least 1 photo a day. This guy called Taylor McKnight started this project in back in 2004. Personally, I think this is a great idea. Not only will I capture moments of my everyday life, I will also not have an excuse to not update my blog frequently! Lol.

So, beginning today, I'm gonna start Project 365 right here on my blog too! Although technically, it's like Project 306, coz it's like the 1st of March already. Hehe.

This is actually a hair-tie I bought in Penang yesterday. The reason I used this picture was because it reminds me of my oh-so-much-money-spending-weekend. Lol. My weekened started off on Friday itself. After class, a few of us classmates headed to Seoul Garden @ Autocity for lunch. Ate like a wild-boar. Haha. On Saturday, headed to Penang island instead. I ate 2 or 3 different types of food for each meal. Plus bought a pair of shoes and a clutch (SALE ok!) and also some other knick-knacks. Earlier today, headed to Autumn Cafe in Lagenda Heights for dinner. Their set meals are pretty value for money. Plus we get Baskin Robin's ice-cream for dessert! :) Then played Nintendo Wii and Xbox there and finally had to leave coz the people behind us were giving us tulan face (should have asked them lah, "Why you tulan?"... hahaha) coz we were hogging the games ;p So thats the end of the money-spending-weekend. Hehe.

*tulan= it's a chinese word suggesting that someone is annoyed... or something like that. Been hearing this word very often around my campus.Lol.

On a totally unrelated note, I have been hearing Leona Lewis' cover of Snow Patrol's 'Run' on the radio recently. Honestly, I prefer the original version from Snow Patrol. This was one of their better songs from their Eyes Open album.
